Chaga mushroom also known as Inonotus Obliquus, is a medicinal mushroom that has been used for centuries in traditional medicine, particularly in Russia and other parts of Eastern Europe. The history of their use in medicine can be traced back to the 16th century, when they were first mentioned in Russian medical texts.

Found growing on birch trees it has high levels of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds make it a popular choice for boosting the immune system and improving overall health.

Preparation

Here is a recipe for Chaga powder tea and a step-by-step guide to make it:

Ingredients:
* 1/4 tablespoon Chaga powder
* 1 cup water
* Honey or other sweeteners (optional)

Steps:
1. Boil 1 cups of water in a pot or kettle.
2. Add 1/4 tablespoon of Chaga powder to the boiling water.
3. Let the Chaga simmer for 10-15 minutes.
4. After 15-20 minutes, turn off the heat and let the tea cool for a few minutes.
5. If desired, add honey or other sweeteners to taste.
6. Serve and enjoy!
7. Stir as you drink.

Note:

Chaga tea can also be made using Chaga chunks instead of Chaga powder. In that case, use 2-3 chunks and simmer for at least 2 hours to extract the full flavour and nutrients from the Chaga.
